On April 1, 2006 Merritt Engineering Consultants, P.C. celebrated the 20th anniversary of the firm’s inception. Over the past 20 years, Merritt Engineering has offered various services such as high rise façade restorations, roof consultation, garage rehabilitation, co-op conversion plans, 5 & 10 year building studies, environmental consulting, lead paint testing and asbestos abatement. At last check, we have worked in approximately 35 states, and Puerto Rico. The list of clientele over the years has also been quite distinguished and diversified ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small management firms, from large high rise luxury residential buildings to two story suburban garden apartments.

Merritt Engineering has received many awards for historical restoration including the Cherokee Apartments, 140 West Street (Verizon’s Corporate Headquarters) as well as other historic district citations throughout the city.

The environmental division has also shared in some landmark projects over the years such as The Empire State Building, Russian Tea Room, and Garden City Hotel. The list of Lending Institutions, Insurance Companies, Wall Street firms and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT’s) the firm represents on due diligence issues continues to grow.
